I think this soul searching question has become necessary at this point in the development of the Nigeria movie industry.
Having taken time to go through most of the threads here as well as interacting with people, I am a bit in an obtuse position realising that we have so much against and so little for Nollywood. I fear at the same time that it is turning into another game of football for Nigeria and Nigerians where we are all 'armchair' critiques, 'all talk and no action'.
Let Nollywood not go that way, we can still do a lot to salvage it; if we think we have something going, then we need to stick out for it for good. We have to put in enough efforts to make it work. It is not enough to catalogue a retinue of things that are wrong with it. I think for every single issue you identify that is wrong, bring to your critique ten solutions or better ways of doing it. Having said that; I make bold to ask YOU;
What have YOU DONE for Nollywood lately?
