FIELD SERVICES ENGINEER
Maintaining/developing all installed base equipment sites specific to a modality or modalities in the assigned area. Responsible for developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives, ensuring Customer Satisfaction, with the GE values.
Technical:* Service and maintains assigned equipment within area* Installing and commissioning systems at customer sites* Responding to emergency callouts as necessary* Total system level trouble-shooting on complex multi-symptom problems* Proactively seeks training to keep up-to-date with technological developments* Provide leadership in the timely scheduling and cost-effective execution of equipment installations, PMS inspections, Warranty work Field Modification Instructions (FMI's) and other time critical activities.* Provision of technical support to sales department and directly to customers Business Awareness:* Ensures good practices and efficient methods of working are used to control costs. Is aware of business costs (material, labour & travel) and efficient business practice such as the control of consigned stock* Ensuring effective management of personal spare part and loaner invetoriesAdministration:* Ensures administration is accurate and submitted complete in a timely manor. Eg service reports, timesheets, expenses, installation certificates, Prodcut locator, Field Modification Instructions (FMIs), PMS inspection checklists.* Management of own service area, workload and inventoryCustomer Relationship:* Based on daily relationship the FSE is in charge of developing excellent relationship with all customers and therefore to participate actively to our Net Promoter Score* Daily interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues. Acts to ensure satisfaction to primary customers.
* Qualified to degree level or equivalent* Technical analytical skills* Minimum two years field service experience* High work standards, works qualitatively, demonstrates initiative and motivation* Excellent soft skills: negotiation and customer communication * MS Office (esp. Outlook & Excel)*
* Excellent communication, listening & interpersonal skills* Team mind set* Lean Six sigma awareness * Good English language * Excellent organizational and problem solving skills* Initiative and Motivation: Is able to work independently using the company resources to solve technical problems. Follows the escalation process in a critical manor.* Knowledge of networking and telemetry an advantage* Comprehensiva knowledge of modalities
