THE Vice Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Prof Michael Faborode, has assured the 60 foreign students that were admitted into the institution that adequate provision will be made to cater for their needs throughout their programmes in the university.

Faborode made this known during a Co*ktail party held at the Vice-Chancellor?s lodge for the students from Niger Republic, Ghana, Guinea, Cameroon, Liberia and Lesotho.

A release signed by the institution?s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abiodun Olanrewaju, stated that Faborode advised the students to see OAU and Nigeria as their home away from home. He added that the university would assist them to realise their dreams and make their ambition become a reality without much stress.

Faborode, who encouraged them to be free to approach any university official or lecturer for any possible assistance, also enjoined them to face their studies without allowing the exuberance of youth to distract them from their primary assignment in the institution.

Responding to comments and questions from the foreign students about the late issuance of certificate, the V-C assured the foreign students that they would not have such a problem.
