This year?s International Junior Science Olympiad has ended in South Korea, with The Bells Comprehensive School, Ota, Ogun State, picking the third position in the contest.
The school was represented by 15-year-old Miss Abiade Adeleye in the competition that attracted other participants from across the world.
In the contest entitled ?Battle of the Brain,? China won the gold medal, while South Korea got the silver medal.
The competition, which is in its fourth year, focuses on such sciences like biology, physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Meanwhile, the school has awarded a scholarship to Adeleye following the outstanding result she posted in the competition.
In another development, Master Edwin Chukwurah of the same school has emerged one of the first 20 candidates in the just concluded junior Olympiad held in the country.
He had earlier in the competition emerged tops in the South-West zone.
