It has become a trend in Lagos State on Sundays for armed robbers to kill and maim innocent citizens, while nothing, it seems, is being done about it. Two weeks ago, a young man and his wife were the latest victims at Alausa, Ikeja. Again, last Sunday, a woman with her seven-month old baby girl were felled by robbers? bullets. Yet, at his inauguration, the Police IG, Mr. Mike Okiro, had promised to tackle the menace of armed robbers, but its seems that he has no answer, as yet, to these problems. I urge the Federal Government to deploy the military to assist in combating these daredevil creatures.
