When we argue and quarel on the forum, it would end on the forum. I won't want to take it beyond that. That is why I didn't mention it to you on phone. It end here, as long as it is just discusion topic. Okay beibee?
try read surah Lahab or surah fil. Read it and read the commentaries as many times as you can then tell me whether such verse can be use for prayer. Please do. Use your mind, your reason test it efficiency.
That is a test of whether your reasoning can be relied upon.
By the way, quran told us that those who put their intellectuals reasoning above wisdom of God are like: A MAN WHO KINDLED A FIRE; WHEN IT LIGHTED ALL AROUND HIM, ALLAH TOOK AWAY THEIR LIGHT AND THEN LEFT THEM IN UTTER DARKNESS. SO THEY COULD NOT SEE. Q2: 17. Meditate on it!
By the way, the reason I took you up on quran was your statement that it is full of errors. You said it alongside the bible. So, I challenge you to do research on the supposed errors and bring it out. In fact, quran itself had asked you to do the same. But if you couldn't find errors, you have to subjugate your reason to the wisdom of quran. Anything else means you are not living the parable of the child you so much cherished.
My defend of certain things from bible was based on the fact that those things are repeated in quran.
The prophet of Islam was stark illiterate. Could not read or write, and never go abroad to learn. He was choosen at a time when philosophers, priests are ruling. His choice was essentially to prove that intellectual reasoning alone was and is not the basic to understand divine ordinance. The same happened to jesus, john etc. Those people didn't attend institutions available in their era.
Today, quran is being subject to close scrutiny and verified even by it critics.
I am sorry, I deviated. Don't worry, when I am free, I would open a thread for it. But for now, you need to start practicing the parable of child.
