Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.


LOCATION:?Monguno, Borno


The position is based in Monguno, Borno State and reports to the Monitoring & Evaluation Deputy Manager.
The PSS Officer’s role will be largely focused on the establishment, management and capacity building of local staff in project information system for greater project reporting and overall impact.

Establishment of an integrated PSS into the organization’s projects to ensure compliance with donor objectives and methodology.
Support teams to pilot data collection tools and integrate the findings into the final tools by providing feedback/error reports.
Provide trainings to program teams and vendors on PSS.
Provide support to the review and development of PSS for new projects, in collaboration with M&E DPM and projects teams at the field level
Develop and update/pre-test PSS tools for M&E team.
Ensure proper and timely implementation, management and capacity building on PSS.
Document and promote good practice from planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities.
Represent AAH externally in relevant forums and working groups at state level.

Bachelor Degree in IT, MIS/PSS or related field.
Minimum two years’ experience working with donor funded programming.
Proven ability to create program support systems for large amounts of data within a complex program.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programming (Access, Outlook,?Excel, Power Point, and Word).
Excellent communication, writing and?analytical?skills.
Knowledge and experience in using database specific software.
Experience designing and leading capacity building and training for national teams.
Previous experience in M&E, PSS of cash based interventions (i.e. cash for work, cash transfers or cash vouchers).

Damaturu, Yobe

The Information and Communications Technology Officer will be based in Damaturu, Yobe State and report to the Logistics Manager.
He/she will be responsible for ensuring that Action Against Hunger Nigeria mission has well maintained, up-to-standard IT, HF/VHF radio, satellite, internet, mobile phone and GPS equipment.
The ICT Officer will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of the ICT hardware, software, networks and peripheries.

The task and responsibilities includes but are not limited to:

Focal point for all technical ICT issues for office and field staff.
Supervise equipment repair and?installation?by supplier and liaise with ICT suppliers (computer, phone, HF/VHF).
Label and?register?new ICT equipment, create equipment ID cards and equipment folders for them, issue equipment to users using ACTION AGAINST HUNGER standard forms
Update equipment tracker with new ICT equipment and every time there is a change in user
Maintain a laptop maintenance log and ensure all staff have well-functioning ICT equipment.
Maintain mobile phone account list and liaise with the Finance team regarding opening and closing phone accounts.
Manage Subscriptions- liaise with ISP, documentations, authorizations from government.
Ensure that ACTION AGAINST HUNGER staff are using their equipment in line with ACTION AGAINST HUNGER ICT policy.
Ensure the standard ACTION AGAINST HUNGER communication procedures are respected in the bases.
Conduct computer, radio, satphone and other equipment training as and when required.
Explain the maintenance tasks to be carried out regularly (clean-up, defragmentation, etc.)

The Successful Candidate Will:
Have a minimum of Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology/Engineering with at least 2 years working experience in the IT sector, or IT support in the development sector.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Be approachable, diplomatic, able to maintain confidentiality and able to work effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams in a complex, multi-site work environment.
Be a computer literate with excellent skills in all Microsoft Office programs (Word,?Excel, PowerPoint).
Be fluent in?English?and Hausa.
Pay excellent attention to detail, highly organized, rigorous, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently.
Have the capacity to analyze, synthesis and report of large amounts of information.
Have the willingness to travel to field sites.
Have previous experience working for NGOs, particularly international and/or health related NGOs.


LOCATION:?Damaturu, Yobe

The position is based in Damaturu, Yobe state and work under the supervision of the Resourcing Officer.
The Resourcing Assistant provides support in the?recruitment?and selection of national staff at the base and ensure the consistency in the implementation of Action Against Hunger?recruitment?and selection policy.

Build and maintain talent pipelines, work closely with other HR team to identify potential gaps in talent and proactively source for these areas, post and manage adverts at the base level.
Assist the base Resourcing Officer in the collection and filing of documents to create complete?recruitment?files for all positions.
Support hiring managers and candidates throughout the?recruitment?and selection process, as well as ensuring appropriate resources are deployed to achieve the mission?s values and principles.
Collaborate with other departments for successful program implementation.
Update the?recruitment?tracker for the base and submit to Abuja HR team on monthly basis.
Maintain positive relationship, establish effective communication and provide timely feedback to candidates.
Maintain a consistent filing system of?recruitment?documents and other HR documents.
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to?recruitment?and selection activities (test, interviews etc)
Participate in the implementation of?recruitment?and selection policy and participate in other HR related projects.
Maintain and track all?recruitment?documents for candidates.

The successful candidate will;
Have a Bachelor’s degree in fields related to HR, Administration and Management or equivalent year of experience.
Have a minimum of 1 year experience working in HR and/or administrative support positions.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Be approachable, diplomatic, able to work effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams.
Have excellent Microsoft office skills (Word,?Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Be excellent in multitasking and have strong organizational skills.
Have the ability to pay attention to details, be highly organized, rigorous, self-motivated, have strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently.
Be able to maintain confidentiality.
Have the capacity for analysis, synthesis and reporting of large amounts of information.
Have previous experience with INGOs preferably.
Be fluent in one or more national/regional languages.
Have an understanding of national labor law and employment norms/practices.
