yeah...we even have some
foreigners who're more versed

in our cultures than we are...
try 'ashake olorisa', suzzane wenger
from germany for example...

and many others...they can tell us
about our ancestries more than we know!

yet, i don't see wikipedia as a complete and
very accurate source of information...

I was looking for my husband's language on one of the lists, but I did not see it (Ijaw).    He is originally from Arogbo, but he has been living in Lagos for some time.    Here is a sample of his language.     Ebikah baalah, tebra?   (Good morning, how are you?)  Enih jeehi Ijaw (My husband is Ijaw).

I do not know if you know this about Wikipedia, and the reason I  know this is because my M. S.  of Education in Technology class had to  read and discuss an article about Wikipedia.  Although Wikipedia has multiple entires and more than a million people view it daily, it is not considered a valid reference source by many, for anyone can become a registered user and write entries, which will be included in it.  Many librarians, teachers, and professors will not allow students to use Wikipedia as a reliable source due to the above fact.   Matter fact, I just registered with Wikipedia a few weeks ago, but I have not made any contributions to it as of yet.   If you want to contribute facts to Wikipedia, you can also do it.   But remember over a million people are viewing it daily, so please make sure the facts are accurate.   The article our class read and discussed is entitled, Wikipedia:  Ban It or Boost It? by Doug Johnson, which is an informative article about whether one should consider its content valuable or should disregard it altogether, for how information is contributed to Wikipedia goes against everything we were taught in school about obtaining valid and reliable data.   However the advantages of Wikipedia over that of an encyclopedia is that it has more up-to-date information, for information is continually being added and updated in it.   Also Wikipedia has other information in it that is normally not found in an encyclopedia.   For instance, if someone wanted to contribute accurate African languages (or dialects, whichever is correct), along with sample sentences, you can.   You only need to register and contribute it.   Of course, there have been individuals that purposely contributed false information, so when you need a reliable reference source, always use other sources in addition to it.   Most schools, colleges, and universities will not allow students to use Wikipedia as a reference source in the United States, but that may change.

One more thing about Wikipedia--there are no editors and no editorial process.  If you register, you can make a contribution by logging in and clicking on "upload file" and follow the screen prompts of instructions.
