All I know about witchcraft are from Ajileye and Ogunde's films. These men are genius in making witch films.

So, I think witches derives their power from God but the misuse the power when they came to the earth.

We have two types. The Black witches and the White witches. The black are evil and always meet in the dark hour. Their birds are also black. The white are good and meet in the day. Their own birds are white.

When you join the witchcraft, you are given a bird which carry our souls anywhere you want to fly. The bird must not die. If it does, the power would be netralised...

Joining witches is either by invitation or by request. Some people inherited the power though. These set of people would not know they have the power until they come of age. Some are however forced to join.

Witches don't harm people needlessy unless they are provoked. Slow to anger but with furious attacked when offended.

The witches rule the earth in a way...

They are real buta atum.  ;D Did you notice as children we'd innocently stare at the screen and laugh at thier exploits. Nowadays Tom & Jerry are decried for thier violence. When we look at them with adult heads we can cringe and see how that opinion can be reached. But, through the innocent eyes of a child all we saw was a cute mouse and cat and a lot of fun and games...

Yeah Earth, they were real, when some were innocent children who knew no better. I guess witches too must exist therefore. After all, some say they saw it on telly too!

I can still remember when I first went to Nigeria, and some kids said I was stupid because I did not know talking rats and cats were real! "What?" I said, thinking they meant mice and cats in Nigeria spoke, for I sure as hell know they didn't where I was coming from. "They do", they insisted, we see it on telly! Took a while, but they finally did show me they were right and I was wrong when Tom chased Jerry on telly, and spoke!

Anyone know too that pigs fly, and Nigeria will start having uninterrupted electricity? Its true! I saw it on telly! lol

There is something that people call wizardry and witchcraft (remember the same argument I gave for the devil?)
I would even go as far as recommending some books on the subject, if you are interested, A General Theory of Magic by Marcel Mauss and Transcendental Magic by Eliphas Levi. Both very wonderful books indeed. The first tells what magic exactly is, and it talks from the perspective of a society like ours, prescientific as it is, while the second even goes somewhat as far as telling one how to perform magic.

The Wizard of Oz, and Harry Potter also have something in them though I have not read the Potter books by virtue they came out after I was past the point of reading such books to my very own disappointment I say. Bur let me finish my reply to your in Olana's, if you may Beebei.

Buda atun,

There was a reason why I had that discussion about "beliefs" with you when I first arrived here Olana. It was to establish that I was not the type of person who merely believes a thing because I heard it. So I find it odd that you ask me to come to the synagogue and listen to people confess that there are witches, and then believe it! Are you not aware that though you say that is what one must do, believe that is, I, buda, am disobeying you?

In the previous I posted information I have on the subject. My research extends much further than I dare confess on here (though I have not gone as far as bewitching!). The evidence I have seen is pretty convincing all the same dare I say, but I hope you noticed the pinch of salt I added to even that which I saw with my very own eyes which I would think carries more weight than a confession in a synagogue?

Yes, there is something that we call witches and wizards. Indeed there are some people who suck blood and eat peoples eyes or whatever and call them witches and wizards. But whether they have the powers they confess to have is a different thing all together, even if many many people believe that they do.

Like I said, to some, mice and cats talk. I too have seen them do so! But only on telly! All the rats I have seen or killed did not say a thing to me, and neither did the two cats that came into my house today for their daily drink of milk, well, unless one understands "meow" to mean, "give me some milk please buda", which I happen to have understood them to have said indeed.

Buda atum,
you sounded like someone who know what he is doing. I am delighted to know that you have done research on the subject.

You see, I don't always believe everything I see. Sometimes, you are deceived, and other time it is real.

Here, we have TV talk show that deal with strange things happening around us. I must admit, I am not a fan of the programmes. But I watch them once a while.

NKAN MBE (strange but true), Labe Orun etc. It is 30minutes programme.

Those who have watched them know the character are real. They are brought to testify live on TV...

In as much I have no link with the knowledge, I have seen enough to convince me that they still transform to animals... But not as frequent as before.
