HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

The role will be responsible for facilitating the design and implementation of strategic plans that will help identify, attract, select, hire, and retain the best-fit talent to meet the manpower needs of Saroafrica International Limited:

Ensure the development and implementation of relevant human resources strategies and structures (process, people, and systems) to support the achievement of the Companyís vision, goals and objectives.
Continually review and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the companyís human resources policies, procedures and processes, and identify improvement opportunities.
Prepare and present the human resources annual business plan and operating expense budget to executive management.
Provide a framework and technical support for all recruitment needs of the organization.
Manage employee and management relations.
Maintain employee benefits programs, recommend benefit programs to management and direct the processing of benefit claims.
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state labour regulation, conducting investigations and maintaining records.
Conduct training needs analysis, design and implement annual training plans with input from relevant function heads.
Drive leadership development initiatives and articulate succession planning strategies.
Develop and champion the implementation of an objective employee performance management process.
Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date employee records.
Nurture and foster a positive working environment.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Managing Director, Shared Services
Ability to address and analyse problems and to develop strategic responses.

MANAGING DIRECTOR - AGRIBUSINESS

The role will be responsible for the development and achievement of the strategic objectives of growing the business revenue and profits.
Collaborate with the Board to define and articulate the companyís vision and champion the articulation of strategies and plans for achieving it.
Drive the expansion of the companyís footprint in the agribusiness sector by expanding its product portfolio and the number of geographical markets served.
Ensure the development and implementation of relevant structures (process, people, and systems) to support the achievement of the Companyís vision, goals and objectives.
Oversee the formulation and implementation of effective marketing and customer engagement strategies to achieve sustainable growth in customer base, market share, sales and profit.
Champion the development of policies and strategies for effective financial management ensuring transparency, accountability and judicious use of resources.
Coordinate day to day activities of the business and provide leadership to direct reports and the entire staff.

MANAGING DIRECTOR - SHARED SERVICES

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient management of the Groupís financial resources and overall responsibility for the provision of corporate services to subsidiaries.

Strategic, Budgeting and Planning:
Oversee and drive the development of the Groupís financial strategy, work plans and programs, to ensure alignment with the Groupís strategy, goals and objectives.
Provide overall guidance, leadership support and strategic direction in the execution of the Groupís finance function and activities.
Oversee the development of the Groupís corporate budget and the allocation of financial resources.
Coordinate the proactive monitoring and reporting of budget positions of all the business departments and units.
Oversee tax planning to optimize the Groupís tax position and ensure tax compliance accordingly.

Financial Control:
Coordinate the development and implementation of finance and accounting policies, processes and procedures in line with leading practices.
Ensure the establishment and implementation of best practice financial activities supported by sound financial discipline in line with the Groupís finance policies.
Oversee the establishment of efficient controls to mitigate identified financial risks.
Coordinate the identification of risks and medium to long term financial implications of intended corporate projects/ initiatives, and provide relevant advice to the Groupís executive management.
Ensure the development, implementation and compliance to delegation of authority framework.
Authorize expenditure/ transactions in line with the Groupís approved financial authority limits.
Treasury Management:

Proactively manage and monitor the Groupís cash-flows, ensure optimal cash management and implement best practice treasury management practices.
Ensure optimal capital expenditure and working capital management for the Group and ensure it has sufficient liquidity to meet its medium-term requirements and banking obligations.
Articulate, develop and implement procedures and controls to ensure that the Groupís funding requirements are proactively anticipated and met at a reasonable cost.
Ensure effective utilization of the financial resources of the Group including achieving cost efficiency in line with its business objectives.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key banks and other financial institutions.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Be responsible for the development and implementation of management information report framework and templates, including defining the model for data and information gathering across the Groupís subsidiaries.
Coordinate and oversee the timely preparation of the Groupís financial statement ensuring that the statement reflects Groupís financial position, complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and aidís executive management decision making.
Ensure all recommendations from the External Auditorsí Management Letters are adequately addressed.
Corporate Services:

Initiate and execute Service Level Agreements with the subsidiaries for the provision of IT, HR and finance and accounting services.
Organize and co-ordinate the deployment of relevant structures (process, people, and systems) towards the provision of corporate services, in line with the SLAs.
HR and Admin:

Monitor the planning and forecasting of the Groupís workforce requirements, organization structure and manning levels, in line with overall corporate goals and objectives.
Oversee the articulation and execution of the Groupís HR strategy, and ensure alignment with the Groupís corporate strategy, business goals and objectives.
Review periodic reports of the HR function and ensure implementation of improvement recommendations.
IT:

Ensure the execution of the Groupís overall IT strategies and oversee the activities of the IT function.
Review periodic reports of the IT function and ensure implementation of improvement recommendations.
Others:

Perform other tasks as assigned by the Group Managing Director.
