You are not seeking the truth. That is why you may not find the answer.

@chuxxy,
who told you ola is knowledgable? That is wrong.
Who told you I have "quoted" or "misinterpreted" scriptures? I have done no such thing. I only made "reference" to where I get my idea from.

Beibee tried making me explain further by asking me where "in bible"? Go read my reply. He even said I started it when it was clear...

Yes, I am born muslim. So what? If there is anything I should be grateful to, it is the fact that I was born muslim. By that, I was born with freedom to study and learn christainity too.

Childlike attitude? You mean I should type with childlike attitude? Or what? You misquoted Jesus word, my friend. Stop being mechanical christain!

Let me deviate by explaining something you guys missed: Bible and Quran has so many similar contents. Most stories in bible are also in quran. The bible tells stories, The quran narrate lessons and spiritual implication of the stories.

Quran don't relate story in one prose. It spread it out into other sura.

Apart from quran, muslim have hadith, which to us is equivalent of bible but not designed alike.

These hadiths explains some verse of quran. And then, have been worked out to produce what is called "tefsir" quran.

Tafsir is explaination of quran.

When muslim give christains verse of quran that have hidden meaning, it is very likely christain don't get the story... Even most muslims are too lazy to read the tafsir. That is why every ramadan, the clerics made it a point to do tafir quran in the mosque. But how many muslims go?

In bible, many stories were either incomplete or not documented. For instance, what happened to hajar and Abraham once they left sarah and went to the desert? What happened between queen of sheba and solomon upon arival. What happened to jesus when he was taken away after the wise men visit to him...

Go read those stories etc plus early life of joseph and jacob. You will see what every enlightened muslims saw.

You said I am muslim, chuxxy, I am not going to coment on my religion! I can only say, I don't limit myself to one religion...

@topic,
I have tried to keep within the topic by first dwelling on what I know about dreams. I classified dreams to DAYDREAMS and NIGHTDREAMS, to enable me clarify something. But it appeared you guys tend to forget that daydream, in the current discuss didn't mean fantasy alone! I have taken time to explain. But if you missed, please go up and re read. I aint retyping again no matter how much misinterpretation you gave it.

In my definition every act that does not go through our conscious mind is a dream!

I  do not aim to dwell extensively on religion. Modern study have supported that classification. In all honest, I am more prone to science than religion. I am glad to mix the two here.

I shall continue my explanation when the thread normalise.

I believe dreams are things we experienced, wish for or fear.
and of course are what will happen. but not all people will dream what will happen only some have that gift. Fact is that our brain is made to do amazing things like move objects just with our mind or see in to the future. What we use of our brain is such a little part. if we could use it all they would be no limit to what we could do. I do dream things sometimes that happen sometimes a few days later sometimes month. like conversations with people when it happens then i already know what they will say. mostly the people in my dream just don't have a face i can see the head what they wear and everything but no eyes or nose or mouth but i see the hair. when that happens its people i have not met before but i know its them when the dream comes true. when it comes to things with people i know i can see everything. It's really wired sometimes.
Some people still have special gift's mostly in the old days they were called witches and so on. but they are not. they just didn't loose all the powers that we all have but don't know how to use them anymore.
Don't fool stay cool!

You don't sound interested in the truth. I made the last post to clarify your question. I realise you would NEVER be logical if I didn't answer you. Beside, the answer is in order. At any rate, I also realised it is inevitable to have subroutine in issues that have religion outlook. Maybe I was wrong.

@lady,
that is a good one.

maybe, olanajim, you're extremely wrong!

now you talk about subissues when they
seem to suit you!

back to topic...
only the true God can determine
whether a dream can dictate the future

therefore, the true God used certain dreams
through certain individuals to dictate future events

but like chuxxy300 noted which i agree on the
point made...the true God speaks to no one today
through dreams...

there are other supernatural forces
apart from the true divine source of
fortelling the future who use dreams
to lure folks into their vice-grips.

I have had one dream that prepared me for a miscarriage.  In my dream I woke up in a hotel and discovered I was losing my baby.  I was pg at the time.  The dream scared me of course, but I had no plans to be in a hotel anytime in the near future.  I already had 4 children so I knew that pg women have some very strange dreams.  Anyways, turned out a week later my boss told me and my collegue that we had to go out of town for some training.  Sure enough the first moring I woke up in the hotel and I had started miscarrying my child.  I haven't had one since, and I dont' know that I want one.
I can do all things through God who strengthens me!

islandgirl,I know what you are talking about.
when I was pregnant with my last born I was told that I was going to have twinns,I actually saw both of them on the screen when I was scanned,saw their little hearts beating.
before going for my next scan weeks later I dreamed I was able to look inside my uterus and was able to clearly see a male fetus there.it seemed normal but when I took a look at his head I noticed that the top of it didn,t apprear normal.it seemed the brain was damaged or deformed.
now when I went for my next scan the doctor told me that one baby had died of inside my belly.
the whole pregnacy I had no problems whatsoever just like it was during my other two pregnacies .I had no problems during giving birth to my other kids either so the doctors,midwifes and myself thought the third baby shouldn,t give a hard time either.
now ,a few weeks due to delivery I  began to have dreams where I saw blood.I would also wake up at night and see blood tripping down from the seiling and I constantly passived the smell of blood.apart from that I felt restless and the urge to write my testament in which I decided who takes care of my children in case I die.my husband was terrified...
then,one night my labour started.I was calm cause everything went normal.after some hours when I noticed it was now time to go to the hospital I woke up my hubby and we went.everything went normal only my child wouldn,t come out.the midwifes and doctors pitied me cause my body produced immense waves of labour to get the baby out.after 15 hours the doctors realized the had to do c section to get my baby  cause her heartbeat got weaker.and so I was rushed to the op.
during the surgery problems occured which caused me to almost die right there and then.due to the doctors I was close to death.

I aggree that autosugestion can cause certain dreams or even things to happen.

now how do you explain me having dreams where I would see people walk through a field with blue flowers and these people always die in real life.in fact I have these dreams since I was a child and they  never failed...?

beyond chuxxy3000's point of view
which i agree with...

i also subscribe to supernatural
forces intermeddling with brainwaves
to push humans to a mental leanings
of future events.

these supernatural forces are other
than the benevolent power of the true
Divine.

like chuxxy3000 earlier pointed out;
the true God doesn't speak to humans
anymore through dreams!
