College football odds for teams to win the Big Ten in 2015

Here is a list of the odds for college football teams to win the Big Ten in 2015.  The Big Ten had a great season in 2014, winning the national championship with Ohio State, and having nine teams go to bowl games.

Including Ohio State's two wins, the Big Ten went 5 5 in bowl games in 2014 and many of the wins were impressive.  In two thrillers, Wisconsin knocked Mlb jerseys china off Auburn and Michigan State rallied past Baylor in the fourth quarter to win.  Add in Ohio State's two huge upset wins with a backup QB and the Big Ten could not have asked for much more in 2014.

The defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes are a huge favorite to win the Big Ten in 2015 at odds of 1/2.  Not only is Ohio State a huge favorite to win the Big Ten, the Buckeyes are also favored to win another national championship at odds of 3 to 1.

Michigan State is the second choice to win the Big Ten at odds of 13 to 4 to 1, but those are much higher odds than Ohio State has.  The Spartans are 28 to 1 odds to win the national championship which tells you the odds makers do not really believe in Michigan State this year.

Wisconsin is 8 to 1 odds to win the Big Ten but 75 to 1 odds to win the national championship.  That's a big gap there and tells you that the odds makers do not think Wisconsin can win a national NFL jerseys cheap championship in 2015 with new coach Paul Chryst but they have some chance of winning the Big Ten.

Michigan is 12 to 1 odds to win the Big Ten in 2015 with new coach Jim Harbaugh.  But the Wolverines are 60 to 1 odds to win the national championship.  So Michigan has higher odds to win the Big Ten than Wisconsin does but lower odds to win the national championship.  That's all because of the respective coaches.

Nebraska is also 12 to 1 odds to win the Big Ten.  The Cornhuskers are 110 to 1 odds to in the national championship so the bookmakers have Elite nfl jerseys even less confidence in new Nebraska coach Mike Riley.

Penn State is 15 to 1 odds to win the Big Ten this season and also 110 to 1 odds to win the national championship.  James Franklin is the right coach for the Nittany Lions but he might need another season or two to get Penn State all the way back from the loss of scholarships they suffered from the scandal fallout.

Minnesota is 18 to 1 odds to win the Big Ten in 2015.  The Golden Gophers had a pretty good year in 2014 but some of that was schedule driven.

Iowa is 25 to 1 odds to win the Big Ten in 2015.  It's pretty clear the Big Ten conferences are unbalanced with four powerhouse programs in the East and only two in the West and Iowa benefits from that.

Rutgers surprised a lot people last season by going 8 5, including a big win over North Carolina in the Quick Lane Bowl, in their first season in the Big Ten.  The problem Rutgers has in 2015 is that the Big Ten has NFL jerseys wholesale screwed the team by forcing them to play Nebraska and Wisconsin again this year.

Rutgers is in the East and had to play both Wisconsin and Nebraska in 2014 out of the West and now they have to play both of them again in 2015, plus play Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State and Michigan State in the East.  At least Rutgers has a scary good player in Kemoko Turay who could be a dominant pass rusher in 2015.

Maryland is 50 to 1 odds to win the Big Ten in 2015.  The Terrapins face the same dilemma this season as Rutgers as Maryland has to play Wisconsin again out of the West for the second straight season.  Maryland's other West game is vs Iowa.  Both Maryland and Rutgers should benefit when they start playing the bad teams in the West in the future.

Illinois surprised some people last year by becoming bowl eligible.  We will learn a lot about Illinois this season when they play their third game of the season on the road at North Carolina.  If they win that game they should be able to be bowl eligible for the second consecutive year.

There's no other way to say it Indiana got screwed when they were put in the East with four powerhouse programs.  The blueprint for success in the East for Indiana, Rutgers and Maryland is the same.  Schedule four out of conference teams you can beat each year, or at least go 3 1 against, and then scratch out enough conference wins to become bowl eligible.  (In the future it will be three out of conference games and nine Big Ten games).

Northwestern fans will learn plenty about their 2015 team very early this season as the Wildcats face Stanford at home in their first game and then play at Duke in their third game.  That's a pretty tough out of conference schedule.

The Purdue Boilermakers have won just four games over the last two seasons and things do not look much better in 2015.  All you really need to know about Purdue is that they are already a 13. 5 point underdog for their first game in 2015 at Marshall which is a non major conference team.
