A fast growing educational consulting firm in Nigeria with branches across the geographical sphere requires for immediate employment, qualified and experienced individuals for the beneath vacant positions in Education Counseling Department:
   
Position:       Education Counselling Officer- North America
     
Responsible to:   PFL Branch Manager; Team Manager and other senior management         
                            Team both in Nigeria and the UK

Location: Lagos and PH

JOB DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE
To serve as a guide and to ensure that facts about a job  and what it involves is spelt out  i. e.  schedule of duties, and how it is carried out are adhered to at all times in order to achieve the desired results / goals of the organisation.

Responsibilities:
?   Ensure PFL meets student recruitment targets
?   Counsel and convert walk-in students by providing up-to-date information on UK , US ( North America) and Australasia study options, application processing and visa counselling guidance
?   Maintain full update on all PFL North America  partner institutions
?   Manage all aspects of application follow-up and conversion
?   Maintain applicants spreadsheet database and accurate applicant records
?   Provide weekly applicant status updates to the Regional Office through the Branch Manager
?   To give presentations on North America  institutions as may be assigned by the Branch Manager.
?   Marketing of PFL North America Client institutions.
?   Other duties as may be assigned to you. 

Regular Update on Clients:
?   To submit weekly update of clients to the Branch Managers.
?   Ensure that branch targets are met via registrations and visas.
?   To make sure that laid down processes and procedures are followed for maximum result
?   Follow-up on schools on behalf of clients through the Branch Managers, expect in rare cases when it becomes necessary to contact schools directly.
?   Counsellors? folder  must be up-to-date
?   Update themselves on current information from Schools (reading brochures and websites) British Council and the High Commission.

Client Management
?   Regular update of clients on the status of their application
?   Ensure clients satisfaction at all times
?   Regularly update the Branch Managers on clients issues
?   Assist clients with their applications to institutions of their choice up to the visa counseling /application stage.
?   Be polite to client at all times
?   Advise and follow-up on clients, via telephone calls and emails or text messages
?   Assist with their accommodation applications
?   Guidance on how to pay / remit their tuition fees to their chosen institution.
?   Guide applicants through visa application process
?   Update clients with the latest information from schools and the corresponding High Commission.


Education/Qualifications   
?   Graduate with degree in social sciences or arts/humanities
?   Membership of relevant professional bodies

Experience   

?   Not less than 2 years relevant business experience within an education or marketing environment at management level
?   Experience or knowledge of the UK educational system

Skill Abilities   
?   Strong communication and report writing skills
?   Good presentation Skills
?   Strong analytical/problem solving skills. 
?   Interpersonal Skills
?   Friendly
?   Excellent planning and prioritization skills
?   Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications   
?   Multi-tasking skills
?   Knowledge of other languages
?   Demonstrable IT Skills

Personal Qualities   
?   A person of high integrity
?   Creative and takes initiative.
?   Able to work independently and effectively with teams
?   Willing to work additional hours at crucial times.
?   Self motivated person able to work as a professional
?   Proven Leadership Qualities
