Senate President, Senator David Mark, has called on public servants nationwide to be more committed to efficient service delivery.
Mark made the call yesterday at an interactive meeting with the Association of Hansard/Verbatim Reporters of Nigeria, National Assembly.

He said public servants in the country were vital to the nation’s quest for growth and development. A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Paul Mumeh, quoted him to have said that the nation’s growth would be enhanced through selfless service.

According to him, “Your commitment to service delivery would definitely promote the workings of the Parliament and, by extension, the growth of democracy in our country.

“We must therefore join hands and contribute our various quotas towards the same direction at achieving these desired goals.”
Mark donated laptops to the staff members, saying the computers would further enhance and encourage their work in so many areas.

Earlier, the Chairperson of the Association, Mrs. Folashade Bejide commended Mark for the gesture and reiterated the commitment of the staff towards better service delivery.

She said, “We want to thank you sincerely for your support and fatherly love for us, specifically in the supply of  two coaster buses, 15 laptops, 30 mini cassettes recorders and above all, welfare package to improve our living standard.”
