Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Faboyede said the projects were identified as the primary needs of the community. He said each community was to provide land and other infrastructure needed for a take off, while the state government would provide the logistics for the completion of the projects.

He said, “We didn’t pick the projects for the communities involved, it was based on their requests carried out by change agents employed by the ministry to find out what the people needed.”
Faboyede said the projects were expected to be completed under six months through direct labouradding that the phase two of the projects would have 40 percent direct involvement of each community.

He said  that  Governor Olusegun Mimiko had approved 80 such community  projects for construction in three local governments for a start, and the  local governments include Ifedore, Owo and Odigbo  with each having 20, 30, 30 projects respectively.
While calling on the government not to allow the projects suffer abandonment, the beneficiary communities pledged their total support for the administration of Dr Mimiko.
