Oyo State Government has reacted sharply to the claim that it planned to depose the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana.
In a release signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Akala on Public Communications, Prince Dotun Oyelade, government said it was not contemplating such a move because there was absolutely no reason for it.
The statement said that while government encourages fairness in handling chieftaincy issues, it would not want to be dragged unfairly into the fray by those wishing to bring government into disrepute.
